The ever popular Gaynor Sutcliffe will be appearing yet again with the Western Valley Swing complete with Andrew Wilson on Guitar, Horace Dogson on Double Bass and Tony Dolman on Drums to add to the swinging virtuosity and high energy entertainment.

Combining a wide range of sounds and instruments, rock and roll, swing, cowboy jazz and singalongs WVH promises a night to remember for all ages.

Watch in admiration, there is something for everyone and a 'feel good factor' you will want to repeat. They tailor the set to meet the needs of the occasion. This is not to be missed.

Making his sixth appearance is Tom McConville who was born and brought up on Tyneside in the North East of England. He’s one of the leading fiddle players of our time. A virtuoso musician and fantastic singer, his rich and warm voice makes his interpretation of traditional and contemporary songs greatly admired by singers throughout the world. You will also hear David Newey's 'incredible, unique guitar playing'.

In great demand as a performer, session musician and teacher; playing the fiddle is his lifelong passion and he has achieved every player’s dream of creating his own unique, instantly recognizable sound.

His live performances combine a rollercoaster of musical delights from fast, rhythmic dance tunes , through beautiful slow airs and of course, great singing. All presented with his inimitable sense of humour and style.

We again have the very popular Zirnmermen who have been playing Bob Dylan's songs and music for twenty five years.

Formed and led by Tom O'Gorman, the band cover classic songs from Dylan's key musical eras, from early 1960s to the present day. including lesser known material that has tempted even the most avid Dylanologists to their gigs.

The band contain several north west musicians, with the skills and components to capture the rich variety of Dylan's music and its roots and influences, from folk, blues, country, jazz and gospel to reggae, rock and beyond.

Whatever your taste in Dylan, The Zimmermen serve up the Dylan songs that count.

For the first half Scott Robertson will be bringing the sounds of Spain, with a fusion of Spanish, Classical and Popular music, played beautifully on the Spanish Guitar.

Scott has performed for many high profile clients all over the UK, including the BBC, Rolls Royce, NHS, Natwest, Royal Bank of Scotland, Arts Council England, Lancashire County Council and several 5-star luxury hotels. He has entertained in many settings including stately homes, birthday gatherings, libraries, garden parties, high-teas, restaurants, cocktail parties, hotels and art galleries.

After the interval we have Carol and Laurie Harrison who have been playing music for over twenty years around the Northwest. Laurie is a multi-instrumentalist playing banjo, guitar and vocals. Carol is a fine fiddle player and vocalist and together they are an outstanding duo.

Their music ranges from folk to bluegrass with a bit of Irish and Scottish reels and jigs. Add in some contemporary classics to the mix and an enjoyable foot tapping evening is guaranteed.

After last year’s successful first outing at the Village Hall the Lancashire and West Yorkshire based Red Hot Drop are back again. They are an established six-piece uptempo rock/soul/funk/band fronted by the excellent vocals of Claire Louise and backed by accomplished musicians on Guitar, Bass, Sax, Keyboards and Drums. The band cover classic songs from the 1970’s through to the present day which includes songs by Joe Cocker, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Sade, Hazel O’Connor, Tina Turner through to Janis Joplin, Roxy Music, Fleetwood Mac and Amy Winehouse.

With a repertoire to please most tastes, this versatile band has the ingredients to make the evening one to remember.

They may have moved away from Whalley but we have again managed to entice back professional opera singers Darren Clarke and Caroline Lester who make up the acclaimed singing duo Trovatori for an early Christmas treat, with songs from opera, the West End and more, plus a few popular festive songs and carols!

Darren studied at the Royal Northern College of Music. His singing career has taken him to opera houses and theatres in Australia, New Zealand, the United States, Canada, and Europe. He is also an accomplished Lieder singer. Caroline studied composition at Durham University and reached the final stages of Channel 4’s Operatunity and ITV’s Search for a Soprano. She has performed numerous operatic roles and has appeared in many oratorios and concerts across the UK, Europe and the United States.

They regularly perform as guest artists onboard luxury cruise ships as well as the luxury Thomson Gold and Thomson Couples resorts across Europe to great acclaim. They also appear across the UK in concert halls and theatres as well as at corporate events, music festivals, hotels and private events.
