Village Hall Facilities

MAIN HALL

Our largest space, the Main Hall, measures approximately 10m x 11.5m.

It can be arranged for seated events, activities, dancing and other functions.

Maximum capacity:

  • 150 seated
  • 175 dancing

TABLES & CHAIRS

Trestle tables are available for use.

Table size: 180cm x 75cm (6ft x 2.5ft)

  • 12 trestle tables
  • 80 folding chairs
  • 50 stackable chairs

PROJECTOR SCREEN & WiFi

The Main Hall has a projector screen available for presentations, meetings and other events.

Wi-Fi is also available.

AUSTIN ROOM

Maximum capacity: 50 people, seated or dancing.

The Austin Room is accessible via the stairs or our stair lift.

KITCHEN

The hall has a small kitchen available for hirers to use.

Facilities include:

  • Microwave
  • Kettle
  • Fridge
  • Crockery
  • Cutlery

Please note: there is no oven or hob/range.

TOILETS & ACCESSIBILITY

The hall has:

  • Ladies’ toilets
  • Gents’ toilets
  • Accessible toilet
  • Baby changing facilities
  • Stair lift providing access to the upstairs Austin Room

ALCOHOL

Whalley Village Hall is not licensed for the sale of alcohol, except for the Hall’s own first-Saturday-of-the-month events.

Alcohol may only be sold at other events where prior permission has been obtained and the appropriate licence has been provided.

If alcohol is to be sold at your event:

  • Prior permission must be obtained.
  • Proof of the relevant licence must be provided to the Booking Secretary at least 24 hours before the event.
  • The licence must end by 11pm.

Please contact us if you are unsure whether your event requires an alcohol licence.

MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY

For safety reasons, the following maximum capacities apply:

Space Maximum occupancy
Main Hall — seated 150
Main Hall — dancing 175
Austin Room — seated or dancing 50

These are maximum occupancy figures and may vary depending on the layout and type of event.

Please do not exceed the stated maximum occupancy for your booking.
